Chapter 1 · The group chat

Every trip starts in the group chat. Most get lost there.

Flights buried under memes. The hotel link from last Tuesday. A spreadsheet only one person understands.

  • Jun sino may copy ng flight details? 😅
  • booking-confirmation (3).pdf
  • Mika pa-send ulit yung hotel link pls
  • budget_FINAL_v3.xlsx
  • Don’t forget travel tax!!
  • Rafa magkano na utang ko?
  • Screenshot 2026-08-14 at 23.41

…so we put it all in one book.

Chapter 2 · Plan it together

Day by day, on the same page.

Build the itinerary together, hour by hour, with every stop on a map. Drop in the booking PDF and the flight or hotel fills itself in.

  • Plan it on the map. Drag stops into order and see the travel time between each one.
  • Fit times. One tap spaces out the day, so nobody’s running to the next stop.
  • An ideas shelf. Places you want, waiting for a free slot.
  • Scan the booking. Flights and hotels, filled in from the PDF or a photo.

Invites the crew and hands out the parts.

Chapter 4 · Meet LakBi

A travel buddy who already read the book.

LakBi (from lakbay, journey) knows your dates, saved places and free time. Ask where to eat or what to do, and get a few real picks, each with a why.

  • Where should we… Picks that fit the day you’re on.
  • Keep this one. Pin it to Food, or drop it on the day.
  • Swap a stop. Not feeling it? LakBi suggests something else for the same slot.
LakBiOsaka · Day 3 · near Namba

Free kami tonight near Namba. Where should we eat?

You’ve got an open evening and you’re close to the hotel. Here are three:

  • Kushikatsu in Shinsekai Why: two stops away, and it’s the dish Osaka is known for. + Pin to Food
  • Okonomiyaki, sit-down Why: a slower dinner after a full day on your feet. + Pin to Food
  • Takoyaki by the canal Why: fits the walk back along Dotonbori. + Pin to Food

Chapter 5 · The money talk

Split the bill. Keep the friends.

Log it in yen, see it in pesos. The book works out who owes what, so nobody has to ask twice, or awkwardly.

  • Any currency. Spend local, settle in your home currency.
  • Who owes what. One clear list, and tick it off when it’s paid.

Chapter 6 · On the trip

A big adventure. A pocket-sized book.

Take the same trip from your laptop to your phone. Today’s plan, directions to the next stop, where the crew is, and the numbers you hope you never need.

  • Go. Turn-by-turn directions to each stop on today’s Live Map, then on to the next one.
  • Find the crew. Share your location while you navigate and see who’s already there. Off by default.
  • Emergency numbers. Filled in for where you’re going. Tap to call.
  • Even without signal. Trips you’ve opened stay readable offline in the app.

Before you pack

A few good questions.

A little clarity before your first chapter.

Can I plan a trip on my own?

Absolutely. Start your own book, keep it private, and invite friends whenever you’re ready. A crew is optional.

How do I plan with friends?

Create a trip and invite your crew. Assign Planner, Foodie, Finance, or Freeloader roles so each person has the right access to the shared workbook.

Can my crew see where I am?

Only if you turn on “Share my location”, and only while live navigation is open in the app. Your crew sees you live, plus where you were last seen for up to two days. Turn it off any time.

Does it work without internet?

In the mobile app, previously loaded trips can be read offline. You’ll need a connection to save changes, sync with your crew, or ask LakBi.

Where can I use LakbayBook?

Use it in your browser, on Android or on iOS, all in early release. Your account connects your trips across devices.

What does early release mean?

LakbayBook is still growing. Account availability and some features, including LakBi, have usage limits during early release. Found something that needs attention? Tell us about it.

Your next chapter starts here

Your next trip deserves its own book.

Start it with the crew. Take it on the trip. Keep it when you’re home.
